It seems like it would be a permanent fix. Here is the narrative: "Z4 Sticky Steering Fix. There is an eccentric ring between the steering column and steering column electric motor. That eccentric ring is there to adjust the play/distance between worm gear (electric motor) and spur gear (steering column).
2002 - 2008 Z4 (E85, E86) In 2002 the Z4 replaced the Z3. Meaner, edgier, and no longer a car born of spare parts, the Z4 took to the challenge of replacing the popular Z3 seriously. The shark like design, multi link rear suspension, and improved power makes the Z4 the new roadster to beat. In 2006 a coupe design was also introduced.
113. My Cars. 2007 Z4 3.0si Coupe. You're better off not heating your garage if the car is covered in salt since corrosion is aided by warmer temperatures. It's not like you will have a completely rusted car if it's in a heated garage, but the corrosion chemical reaction is slowed if it's colder.
One of the 2 fuel senders on my 03 Z4 has been bad for about a year now. I have never gotten round to changing it due to how ridiculously expensive the quote was, caused by the fact that you have to buy the whole fuel pump/sender unit as a combined item and then have the tank dropped to change it.

It is dripping off the little V shaped shield under the engine compartment. It is not a gusher just a enough to stain the garage floor. It drips whether the engine is hot or cold.

Mike, The radiator fan is controlled by a theromstat which detects the coolant temperature and as it rises above a pre set limit the fan will cut in to reduce the temperature. Sounds like either the thermostat is defective or the temperature sensor. Diagnostic check should identify the fault code.
